Product

Who is Pay4Feedback for?

B2B SaaS teams, e-commerce shops, and product companies that want structured feedback from real users and are willing to pay for quality. Typical customers: 10–500-employee product teams who are done with UserTesting and surveys that nobody fills in.

How does Pay4Feedback compare to UserTesting, Hotjar, Typeform?

Short version:

  • UserTesting recruits participants at €50–€100 per interview. We collect from your real users at €5–€10 per verified response.
  • Hotjar records passive behaviour — scroll, clicks. We ask active questions and pay for answers.
  • Typeform is a survey tool without rewards. Response rates average 2%. We see 15–30% with rewards.

A full comparison page is coming — see Comparison Pages (currently placeholder).

Do I need engineering to set this up?

Not for the widget — use Google Tag Manager and it's a 5-minute job. See Install the Widget.

Billing & Money

How much does it cost?

Three plans:

PlanMonthlyPlatform fee on rewards
Starter€025%
Growth€4910%
Enterprise€2995%

Full pricing: Pricing & Billing.

What does "platform fee" actually mean?

You pay it once at campaign activation, not per response. Example on Growth plan with a €500 campaign budget:

  • You pay €550 via Stripe (€500 rewards + €50 platform fee).
  • We keep €50.
  • €500 sits in Tremendous's pooled balance for user rewards.

Where does my money actually go?

See How Pay4Feedback Works. Short version: Stripe collects, Tremendous holds and disburses, we orchestrate. Pay4Feedback's bank account never holds reward funds.

Is Pay4Feedback a payment institution?

No. We are a non-custodial orchestrator — we don't hold funds, so we're not regulated as a payment institution or escrow agent. The regulated entities are Stripe (EU PSP) and Tremendous (US payout platform).

What if I'm not happy with the service — can I get a refund?

Unused campaign budget is refunded when you end a campaign, minus the platform fee on already-approved feedback. Monthly subscription fees (Growth, Enterprise) are not refunded for partial months. See Payout Rules.

Do I pay in EUR or USD?

All billing is in EUR today. [Product strategy decision pending]: native USD support.

Rewards

What if nobody responds?

You spend nothing on rewards — the platform fee is already sunk, but the €500 budget stays untouched until someone actually submits. End the campaign and get the €500 back.

What if too many people respond?

The campaign stops when the budget is exhausted. Configure a daily budget cap to smooth spending. See Payout Rules.

What reward amounts should I use?

Depends on your user's expected value:

  • Consumer SaaS: €3–€10 per response.
  • Prosumer / SMB: €10–€25.
  • Enterprise buyers (CTOs, VP Engineering): €50–€150.

The rule of thumb: the reward should feel worth 10 minutes of the user's time.

Can users choose their payout method?

Yes. Via Tremendous: PayPal, Amazon Gift Card, Visa Prepaid, charity donation, and 1,000+ other options.

What about unclaimed rewards?

Expire after 30 days and return to your budget. See Payout Rules.

Fraud & Trust

How do you stop bots and reward farming?

Four layers: widget-level filtering, rate limits, quality scoring, pattern detection. Full write-up: Fraud Prevention & Trust.

Can the same user earn every day?

No — the default reward cooldown is 10 days between rewards to the same email. Configurable per campaign.

What if I spot an obviously fake submission after you've already paid?

Click Report abuse in the Feedback tab. Investigated within 48 business hours. If confirmed fraud, we claw the reward back and credit your budget.

Compliance & Privacy

Are you GDPR-compliant?

Yes. Hosted in AWS Frankfurt (eu-central-1), no unnecessary cookies, DPA available. See our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.

Do you share my data with US companies?

Only Tremendous (for payouts) and only the minimum data required: recipient email, first name, reward amount, campaign reference. Tremendous is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See Legal & Compliance.

Can I sign a DPA?

Yes, either (a) self-serve — you accept the pre-signed DPA at pay4feedback.com/data-processing-agreement by using the service, or (b) request a counter-signed PDF at support@pay4feedback.com.

How do I handle a GDPR erasure request from one of my users?

Go to Settings → GDPR → Schedule Data Erasure in the dashboard, paste the user's email, and click Schedule deletion. The erasure executes automatically after a 7-day safety window, during which you can cancel if needed. The action is audit-logged. See Troubleshooting → GDPR data subject request.

Can I self-host?

No. We're cloud-only for now. [Product strategy decision pending] whether to offer a single-tenant deploy for Enterprise customers.

Technical

Does the widget slow down my site?

The widget is ~35 kB gzipped, loaded async, runs inside Shadow DOM. Lighthouse impact is under 2 points. If you see otherwise, please open an issue.

What browsers are supported?

Evergreen browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile. Internet Explorer is not supported — we don't publish polyfills for it.

Do you have an API?

Not yet. See API & Integrations for the roadmap.

Where are servers located?

All production infra is in AWS eu-central-1 (Frankfurt). No data leaves the EU except the minimum payload sent to Tremendous for reward payouts (see above).
