Payout Rules
The non-custodial orchestration model means your money has a clear, auditable path from card → users. This page defines the rules.

Budget consumption
- A campaign has a total budget and (optionally) a daily budget.
- Every approved response deducts its reward amount from the budget at approval time.
- When the remaining budget drops below your current max reward, the widget stops showing new users. Existing open submissions still complete.
- Daily budget resets at 00:00 UTC.
What counts as "approved"
- Auto-approve mode: pass AI scoring → approved.
- Manual review mode: reviewer clicks Approve.
Rejected responses never deduct from the budget.
When does the payout actually leave?
- PayPal / most gift cards: minutes after approval.
- Bank transfer: up to 24 hours, varies by country.
- Charity donation: batched daily by Tremendous.
The user sees a live status on the claim page at pay4feedback.com/reward/<token>.
Unclaimed rewards
When a user is approved but doesn't click the claim link:
- Day 0: approval email sent.
- Day 7: reminder email sent automatically.
- Day 21: second reminder.
- Day 30: reward expires. The budgeted amount returns to your campaign.
This matters for budget planning — a typical claim rate is 70–85%.
Refunds
You end a campaign with unspent budget
- Unused budget is refunded to the original card via Stripe.
- The platform fee is not refunded — it's paid once at activation, not per response.
- Fees accrued on already-approved feedback are excluded from the refund.
- Refund window: 5–10 business days after you click End Campaign.
A payout fails
If Tremendous can't deliver (user enters wrong email, chosen gift card country not supported, etc.):
- Tremendous retries once.
- If still failing, the reward returns to your campaign budget within 48h.
- The user receives an email with a link to choose a different payout method.
Dispute / chargeback on your end
If you chargeback Stripe after we've already disbursed to Tremendous:
- Pay4Feedback covers the clawback from its own funds (platform fees).
- But: Pay4Feedback reserves the right to immediately suspend the tenant and recover disbursed amounts via other means. This is explicitly covered in our Terms of Service.
Daily budget behaviour
The daily cap is enforced at approval time:
- If the daily budget has €10 left and a €12 reward is approved, it goes through — the daily cap can be exceeded by one response.
- After that response, the widget stops showing for the rest of the day.
- Resets at 00:00 UTC.
We're aware this is slightly loose. [Product strategy decision pending]: whether to enforce strict caps by rejecting approvable responses that would exceed the cap. This would hurt user experience, so we're leaving it as soft-cap for now.
Multi-currency
All budgets and rewards are currently denominated in EUR. Tremendous converts to the user's local currency automatically when they claim a non-EUR payout method (e.g. USD Amazon gift card).
[Product strategy decision pending]: whether to support USD-denominated budgets natively.
Tax
- Invoices from Pay4Feedback include VAT per the reverse-charge rule for B2B EU customers with a valid VAT ID.
- The reward amount paid to end-users is not treated as tax-deductible business expense without further documentation. Consult your accountant.
- Pay4Feedback does not issue 1099 / tax forms to reward recipients — Tremendous handles recipient tax reporting as required by US law.
